New electric tricycles of subsidiary City Waste Disposal of Zagreb Holding Ltd.
New electric tricycles of the subsidiary City Waste Disposal of Zagreb Holding Ltd. were presented today in the main city square. The electric tricycle was created as a compromise between a freight vehicle and an eco-friendly vehicle. It is ideal for transporting bins containing small waste on busy city streets in a short period of time. The supplier is the company Viking d.o.o. from Zagreb and this innovative product was 100% made in Croatia.
Milan Bandić, Mayor of the City of Zagreb, stated: “Thanks to the workers of the Subsidiary, some of whom are here in the square with us today, we have a clean and neat Zagreb. Order, work and responsibility should always be present, as should gratitude for on-site workers! This is why ten best employees of City Waste Disposal will be nominated for this year’s Medal of the City of Zagreb!” added the Mayor.
Director of the subsidiary City Waste Disposal, Jure Leko, greeted Mayor Milan Bandić, the President of the Management Board of Zagreb Holding Ltd., Ana Stojić Deban, the subsidiary’s employees and all other guests, pointing out that he was extremely proud because the product was invented in Croatia. “Our workers had the opportunity to use six test vehicles in their work. They allow for greater mobility and flexibility, and in addition to 30 new vehicles, the mechanically propelled vehicles (296 of them) remain in use.
Director of the Zagreb company Viking d.o.o., Robert Vlašić, pointed out that, apart from it being a local product, the tricycle was also designed specifically to negotiate higher gradients of slopes, thus ensuring greater stability for the driver.
The vehicles have an engine power of 1 kW, can be driven for six hours on one charge and their load capacity is up to 500 kg.
