Workshop “Procurement of energy-efficient vehicles - advantages and practical applications”
The national workshop “Procurement of energy-efficient vehicles - advantages and practical applications”, a part of the EU-funded Clean Fleets project, organised by the Zagreb City Holding Ltd. project team, was held on 23 January 2015 at Hotel International in Zagreb, Miramarska 24. The project is co-funded by the EU from the Intelligent Energy Europe programme.
The objectives of the workshop were to:
Representatives of Croatian cities and companies providing public transit services in Croatian cities, along with institutions in the fields of energy efficiency and promotion of the use of renewable energy sources in transport, participated in the workshop. We would like to use this opportunity to thank all workshop participants. The presentations from the workshop are available on the project website.

The objectives of the workshop were to:
- Present the Clean Fleets project and inform the participants about the forms of technical assistance and support provided by the project,
- Explain the implementation of Directive 2009/33/EC on the promotion of clean and energy-efficient road transport vehicles in tenders for the procurement of energy efficient vehicles,
- Present the advantages of procurement that allows an environmentally friendly and budget-friendly choice of propulsion technologies and fuels,
- Present good practice examples demonstrating the use of energy-efficient vehicles in public transit in the EU and in Croatian cities,
- Inform the Croatian market in more detail about the use of alternative fuels in public transit.
