The second national workshop of the Clean Fleets project
The second national workshop of the EU-funded Clean Fleets project, organised by the Zagreb City Holding Ltd. project team, was held on 28 May 2015 at Hotel International in Zagreb, Miramarska 24. The project is co-funded by the EU from the Intelligent Energy Europe programme.
The objectives of the workshop were to:
Representatives of privately owned and state-owned companies that have large fleets and institutions in the fields of energy efficiency and promotion of the use of renewable energy sources in transport participated in the workshop. The objectives of the workshop were to:
- Explain the implementation of Directive 2009/33/EC on the promotion of clean and energy-efficient road transport vehicles in tenders for the procurement of energy efficient vehicles,
- Present the advantages of procurement that allows an environmentally friendly and budget-friendly choice of propulsion technologies and fuels,
- Present good practice examples demonstrating the use of energy-efficient vehicles in public transit in Croatian and other European cities,
- Raise the level of awareness in the business community about the advantages of using energy-efficient vehicles, and help the national market learn about the vehicles with higher energy and environmental standards more quickly.
