Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia adopted the Recommendations for Households and Other Indoor Areas.
Waste produced by persons who self-isolate due to a confirmed or suspected coronavirus infection (COVID-19 disease) must be disposed of using regular plastic waste bags and tied firmly. This bag is then to be placed in another plastic bag, which also must be tied firmly. Waste prepared in that manner must be kept separately from other household waste at least 72 hours (three days) before being disposed of into a mixed municipal waste bin.
The same applies to personal waste (e.g. paper tissues) and waste from cleaning of areas. We particularly emphasise that paper towels, paper tissues and various disposable products used by persons exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 may not be disposed of in bins for separate collection of waste (biowaste, paper and plastic).
Let’s be responsible and preserve our health!
