Employees of City Waste Disposal awarded by City of Zagreb
Yesterday, on 31 May 2020, at the event celebrating the City of Zagreb Day, employees of City Waste Disposal were awarded special City of Zagreb recognitions for exceptional contribution and effort.
As a result of his great commitment to his work and his willingness to help others, our colleague Josip Smiljčić has been awarded the City of Zagreb Award in recognition of his getting severely wounded while preventing a theft attempt he witnessed when he was working in the afternoon shift.
As the Director of City Waste Disposal Jure Leko said, our colleague Josip risked his own life for the welfare of the citizens of our city, to the pride of his family and his co-workers.
Other employees who were awarded the City of Zagreb Medal are Vjekoslav Javorić and Suad Hećimović for their exceptional contribution and effort invested in remedying the consequences of the earthquake that hit the city of Zagreb.
